African Mama

While my family was here, NCF’s Children Home received 5 new kids! The additions more than doubled our home and are much younger than the kids we had before. So it is a big adjustment. But the house is doing great! We would appreciate your prayer as the kids continue to adjust.

One day last week, our littlest one was tired but didn’t want to sleep. The housemom was exhausted and busy preparing for guests that were coming the following day. So I took our little one; using a towel tied her on my back and walked around until she finally took a bottle and slept. I was proud of my “african skills” and loved bonding with her. It was a well spent afternoon!

Way to go, girl! You’re more of an African mama than I am!

"You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased men for God from every tribe and language and people and nation." Rev. 5:9
I'm a missionary in South Africa. I have been here for over six years and plan on many more to come. God has captured my heart for this nation. Just like with anything there are some days overflowing with joy and other days filled with heartache. But I love it and wouldn’t trade living and working in South Africa for anything. I am living a dream; it is more than I could think or imagine.
