World Cup

I’m beginning to despise the World Cup…ok maybe that is a little strong. But as I was stuck in horrible traffic for the third or fourth time this week I thought I hate soccer and the 2010 World Cup. Everywhere you go in Johannesburg there is road works (construction) due to the World Cup. I was stopped on the highway three times this week for 40-50 mins all for soccer! Ridiculous!

Up until now I was like oh World Cup being in South Africa is so cool…now I’m not so sure. But while I was sitting in traffic, I decided I should at least try and get tickets to a game or two since I’m experiencing all the lovely preparation for this event. Soccer is my least favorite sport but when again will I be in the country that is hosting World Cup.  I have no idea if it is too late for tickets but I’ll look into this week.

BUT, when it comes and if you got tickets you would LOVE it!! I would just die to see a Brazil game in the W.C.

"You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased men for God from every tribe and language and people and nation." Rev. 5:9
I'm a missionary in South Africa. I have been here for four years and plan on many more to come. God has captured my heart with this nation. Just like with anything there are some days overflowing with joy and other days filled with heartache. But I love it and wouldn’t trade living and working in South Africa for anything. I am living a dream; it is more than I could think or imagine.
