Coldness=lots of hot drinks

mug Yesterday and today have been cold.  So I have consumed a lot of tea and coffee. Tonight I’m curled up in my warm robe, with a winter hat on, drinking chai tea. A fellow American missionary gave me a recipe for chai tea…so I’m drinking a homemade chai latte. It is so good! I’ll share the recipe in case anyone wants it.

1 1/2 C. Instant Tea

2 C. Cremora (dry coffee creamer)

1 C. Powdered Milk

2 1/2 C. Sugar

2 t Cinnamon

1 t Cardamon

1 t Cloves

2 t Ginger

Put in blender and mix well…mix very well it leaves less dregs at the end. 3 T for one large cup of hot water.

I enjoy winter when I can just curl up under blankets with a hot drink.

    sounds like what you would dress Landon in to make fun of me… he got the cutest blue robe with a crocodile on it since you were here. I’ll dress him up in that and his hat and socks and show him this picture of you and your chai. :)

"You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased men for God from every tribe and language and people and nation." Rev. 5:9
I'm a missionary in South Africa. I have been here for four years and plan on many more to come. God has captured my heart with this nation. Just like with anything there are some days overflowing with joy and other days filled with heartache. But I love it and wouldn’t trade living and working in South Africa for anything. I am living a dream; it is more than I could think or imagine.
